2016 Emmy Fashion Recap

The fall award season is in full swing and last night The 67th Annul Primetime Emmy’s were on. The Emmys were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, full of memorable moments, and nothing short of fun! But if we’re being honest we were all abut the fashion last night. We just couldn’t get over the fashion we saw on the red carpet and throughout the show.

We expected to see lots of jewel toned gowns but we were completely blown away by all the bright colored and white dresses we saw last night. Usually we’re always telling you guys about how much the awards show fashion influences wedding dress design, but this award show was completely different. We can’t even count all the dresses that we saw that were bridal inspired and could totally be worn as wedding dresses. There were tons of white, lacey, and beaded dresses that we just loved. To be honest, we can’t blame these ladies because the wedding industry has some of the most amazing dresses around.

Lets not forget some of the amazing fashion trends we did see because there was more than enough to chat about. So lets get to it.

Cutouts
We saw these trends throughout the spring, summer, and most recently the MTV VMA’s. So, it looks like this is a trend that isn’t go anywhere and we’re not mad at that. We love when our brides choose bold and sexy dresses that have fun cutouts.

Plunging V-necks
We first saw this trend throughout bridal fashion week, but we also saw so much of it on the red carpet last night at The Emmys. We love a deep v-neck on just about any bride but we especially love seeing this trend on our brides with long sleeve wedding gowns.

Metallic Gowns
The Emmys red carpet had beaded, metallic gowns for days. For years lace has been reigning king on wedding gowns so we’re excited to see a little glisten coming back around in dresses. I mean who doesn’t love to shine bright?
